What it does
Tagging writes/links an RFID tag (EPC) to each serial number in your catalogue. Once tagged, a unit can be counted in seconds during an audit and checked at the exit gate. You can tag from the web Tagging console or the C-72 handheld.
Step by step
- Open the Tagging console (web) or the Tag screen on the C-72.
- Scan or type the unit’s serial number / 2D barcode — TrueStock auto-detects the product.
- Present a blank RFID tag to the reader and confirm to link it to that serial.
- If a tag is already linked, request an overwrite (an admin approves re-tagging).
- Repeat for each unit; tagged units now show in Serial numbers with their EPC.
Tips & good practice
- Use the same scan tone everywhere so staff get instant feedback.
- Keep blank tags away from the reader so only one is written at a time.
- Wrongly tagged a unit? An admin can unlink the RFID from the serial and re-tag.
